est un groupe de rock américain fondé au début des années 1970. Le guitariste du groupe, Eddie V H, est rapidement devenu célèbre pour ses prouesses techniques et sa sensibilité musicale, tandis que le chanteur David Lee Roth s'est imposé comme un show man. De 1978 à 1998 le groupe a sorti onze albums, tous rentrés dans le Top 20 du Billboard 200. Il a vendu plus de 75 millions d'albums à travers le monde et reçu plusieurs nominations aux Grammy Awards. Le groupe est classé dans le Guinness des Records comme le groupe ayant le plus grand nombre de hits dans la Billboard Mainstream Rock List. En plus de leur gloire commerciale et de leur notoriété en tant que musiciens, le groupe est connu pour avoir une liste tournante de chanteurs.
